Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture is located in the eastern part of Jilin Province, covering an area of 43,300 square kilometers, accounting for about a quarter of Jilin Province. The total population is 2.072 million, of which 742,000 are Koreans, accounting for 35.8% of the total population of the state. They are the only Korean ethnic group in my country. It was established on September 3, 1952 and is affiliated with Jilin.
